WOMEN’S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Under this program, the department coordinates the implementation of the National Action Plan for Women Economic Empowerment (2016 – 2021). The Plan has four priority areas: Promotion of women/girl education and financial literacy; Facilitation of women’s labour and employment; Enhancement of women’s access to and control of property; and Support of women’s business/entrepreneurial activities.
