Likoma District Commissioner Abubakar Nkhoma has asked community members to embrace good nutrition practices, including the consumption of six food groups, to maintain good health.

He said this on Thursday, when the Invest in Early Years Program distributed wrappers (Chitenje Cloth) to 700 beneficiaries of the program at Chizumulu Island. 

"The wrappers that you have received are dispensing nutritional messages. These messages are there for decoration, but they have an intended purpose", he said.

Nkhoma encouraged the beneficiaries to wear the wrappers to disseminate the messages. ---from IREEN MSETEKA, MALAWI NEWS AGENCY
