The Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare launched the National Children's Manifesto at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.
The manifesto aims to allow children to advocate for their rights, well-being, and protection.

A manifesto is a powerful tool that will empower children to advocate for their rights and hold decision-makers accountable.
"As such, the ministry is committed to ensuring that every child in Malawi has access to quality education, health, and nutrition. The ministry will also ensure that children are protected from any form of abuse, and that they can participate in activities and in climate-smart interventions to shape their future," she said.
Activities marking the launch included discussions on child protection, education, healthcare and nutrition, climate change, child participation, cultural performances, and testimonies from children who have contributed to the manifesto.
