Minister of Gender Commends World Vision Malawi for Expanding Feeding Programme for Children

Minister of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare, Honourable Jean Muonaouza Sedeza, MP, has commended
World Vision Malawi for supporting the government’s efforts to promote Early Childhood Development (ECD) by enhancing children’s health and nutrition.

Speaking on Tuesday at the launch of World Vision Malawi's Community Based Child Care Centre (CBCC) Feeding Programme scale-up event
at Zalari CBCC in Traditional Authority Mazengera’s area in Lilongwe District, the Minister said World Vision’s school feeding support in ECD is a
crucial foundation for children's education in rural areas, adding that access to food is a significant incentive for children to attend CBCCs.

National Director of World Vision Malawi, Francis Dube, stated that as an organisation committed to promoting children's well-being, they believe
a simple meal can transform a child's life by keeping them in school, supporting their growth, and giving them hope for a better future.

The CBCC Feeding Program will provide nutritious soya porridge to 1,260 ECD centres across World Vision’s Area Programmes, benefiting 60,000 children aged 3 to 6 years
