Training of Caregivers

A Caregiver is an integral part in the provision of ECD services to children. In order for the caregivers to provide quality early learning and stimulation services to children they require training. The basic training takes duration of two week. The caregivers are certified after attending the basic three week training. Currently, there are a total of 35,000 Caregivers of which half are trained. The department plans to increase the percentage of trained caregivers to 70 percent by the year 2022.
